Meet our dynamic presenters for the 2019 Girl, Get Your Life empowerment symposium:

Leslie Shortéy is an actress, comedian, motivational speaker and has been a certified professional life coach for well over 10 years. Leslie received The Phenomenal Woman of Impact 2019 Community Service Award 2017 Building the Bridge between Schools and the Community 2014. She has been a member of The National Association of Professional Women for 10+years. Leslie invests herself in each client she coaches. Her passion shows though as she facilitates one-on-one meetings using client centered goals. She challenges old habits and thinking to encourage growth and change that will lead to more fulfilling personal and professional life. Leslie walks the talk!

Born and Raised in Lithonia , Ga, Angelica Turner has always had a outgoing personality. She has used her talents to be in movies such as Kevin Hart's Night School, Zombieland 2 and many other shows produced in the Atlanta area. She started her podcast, Real Sistas, Real Talk, to empower black women to speak up on topics that they love to discuss and to have the confidence to speak how they feel. Angelica's goal is to empower Black women to self love and become financially free!

Jasmine Nicole was born and raised in Decatur, Ga. She has a Bachelors in Human Services and is a successful Esthetician. Having always harbored a love for Skin Care & healing the community, Jasmine came up with the idea to empower her peers through spa services. At Sugar Quartz Spa we push through regardless of your circumstances and keep your skin flawless in the process.

Ms. Kelley is a proud honor graduate of Benedict College (Cum Laude) and Argosy University, Atlanta Campus (Magna Cum Laude). Currently, Ms. Kelley is the School Readiness and Child Development Coordinator for Quality Care for Children. She's also a Professor at Carver College where she's helping to build a Title IX program for victims of abuse. Her professional experiences include working with survivors of sex trafficking, Headstart, Special Instructor/Early Interventionist, an International Opera Singer, Praise and Worship Leader for church, and Off Broadway Regional Productions. Ms. Kelley loves teaching her students through the arts!

Ms. Kelley's life changed drastically when she was sexually assaulted and fell into the hands of an abuser which led to domestic violence. In February 2015 Ms. Kelley was named an Ambassador against Sexual Assault and Violence through Fulton County. Today, Ms. Kelley uses every opportunity given to educate teens and the community by telling her story and providing resources. She started her speaking career as the voice and empowerment speaker for DIVAS In Defense and the Beverly Cunningham Foundation. Ms. Kelley serves on the board for Rose Of Sharon ATL for Domestic Violence Survivors and Charge Up Campaign for Cancer Survivors.
